The Life of Evita Peron in the Magic Setting of the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre
#Music

Loved, hated, derided and venerated, Evita Peron was the first illustrious celebrity politician in the world, with her patriotic speeches, ambition and magnetic charm.
Who doesn’t remember the celebrated Do not Cry For Me Argentina sung by Evita from the balcony of Casa Rosada, the day of the proclamation of the election of her husband Juan Domingo Perón to the office of President? Or Oh What A Circus, Another Suitcase in Another Hall, and You Must Love Me, an Oscar winner.
The musical written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, freely inspired by the life of Evita Perón, comes to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre where it will be on stage until 21 September.
Playing Eva Peron is Samantha Pauly, while Ektor Rivera plays Juan. Trent Saunders returns to the United Kingdom in the role of Che.
