Would you like to have the privilege of buying a print by Dürer or Rembrandt or a lithograph by David Hockney? Price permitting and with its charming international atmosphere, the London Original Print Fair is the place for you. From 25 to 28 April, in fact, the spaces of the Main Galleries of the Royal Academy of Arts offer an opportunity to come into contact with 50 exhibitors from around the globe, with their ample knowledge of artists spanning five centuries of art history. Founded in 1985 by a group of eight printers in the capital, the London Original Print Fair has come a long way. From its start in the old Diploma Galleries della Royal Academy of Arts with a mere 16 exhibitors, it is now in its 34th Edition, tripling its numbers and occupying an extraordinary exhibition space. The goal of the Print Fair is to promote prints - essential to the development of art since the XV Century - as works of art to be collected.
Visions of the Self - the Self-Portrait from Rembrandt to Damien Hirst
The exceptional arrival of a masterpiece by Rembrandt sets off a stimulating comparison between the past and the present - it happens at the Gagosian, among works by Picasso and Bacon, Baselitz and Basquiat.
