The exhibition set up at the Carlo Maria Martini Diocesan Museum takes the form of a dialogue between an undisputed Master of the past, the Venetian painter Jacopo Tintoretto, and four contemporary artists. Jacopo Benassi, Luca Bertolo, Alberto Gianfreda, Maria Elisabetta Novello have accepted the challenge of putting themselves on the line using today's languages and exhibiting their works, the result of a reflection on a masterpiece by Tintoretto. The work in question is The Deposition, from the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice. A work that the artist created around 1562 and which depicts a dramatic and agitated scene, with a strong emotional impact, in which the imposing characters stage the story of the Passion.
