In the polyphony of voices that contributed to creating the system of Chinese art, facilitating the comprehension and spread of contemporary art, both locally and internationally, Art Beijing has been and is still a determining force. Founded in 2006, Art Beijing immediately knew how to grasp the spirit of the times, filling a void of art fairs in the early years of this century. Today, the fair includes around 200 participating galleries from all of China and abroad, with thematic sections and public art projects. Exploring new methods of presentation and viewing of art works, it continues to render the Chinese artistic ecosystem varied and articulate, while paying careful attention to the accessibility and understanding of the contemporary artistic phenomenon, even in the eyes of the public at large.
