A journey through the multiple relations between form, light and colour guides spectators to explore multidimensionality in terms of material, experience and perception. For the personal exhibition of Chen Ruobing, entitled Blues, Ginkgo Space gathers a dozen small and mid-sized paintings and an installation that illustrates the work of the artist in recent years. This series of new works of the master of hushed abstract paintings, born in 1970 - raised during the Chinese cultural revolution and interested in calligraphy, poetry and philosophy - incarnates the multiple relations within form and light, with particular attention to the contrasts between hot and cold hues. The spherical installation represents further exploration of the artist of physical space. The impression it gives is of increasing energy, capable of generating a spiritual blaze.
