The China National Traditional Orchestra - founded in 1960 under the direction of Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai - is the most numerous national group in the world, capable of executing the most complex pieces. It is comprised of a large national orchestra and a national chorus, hosted by a centre for musical creation and for live performance. The orchestra has played in over 30 countries throughout the world; in recent years, it has created a number of successful musicals based on Chinese history and tradition. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear a cornerstone of Chinese classical music in a remarkable structure for its excellent acoustics and noteworthy architectural aspects.
