Everybody to the Palace to Discover the Wonders of Buckingham

Everybody to the Palace to Discover the Wonders of Buckingham
#Art

Raise your hand whoever, while photographing Buckingham Palace, had the urge, even if for just a moment, of getting lost among its monumental halls and the magnificent art collection. There’s no better way to celebrate the year of the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen then by visiting the palace. While you may have to give up a tea party with Paddington Bear, you can find solace in a special visit to the home of Britain’s monarch. From the 22nd of July to the 3rd of October, the official London residence of the Queen will offer visitors the chance of having a self-guided tour of the furnished halls of State. Besides the special exhibition celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, the public can access luxurious rooms which hold some of the most prestigious treasures of the Royal Collection. From paintings by Rembrandt to the mysterious Music Lesson by Johannes Vermeer, from the canvases of Canaletto to the sublime Venus and Mars by Canova, but also the refined porcelain of Sèvres, this is a guaranteed feast for the eyes. Worn by Her Majesty on the day of her coronation, the truly elegant Diamond Diadem, is blindingly stunning. Besides strolling through 19 of the magnificent Rooms of State, used throughout the year for official functions including entertainment and ceremonies, you can also have a relaxing tour of the luxurious Palace Garden.
