For Kosuke Okahara, photography is a way to "capture the existence" of what is in front of him, thus fighting collective amnesia. Born in 1980, Kosuke Okahara began his career as a photojournalist in 2004 and has since then produced series of photographs that deal with current issues around the world. Museo Cernuschi presents a series of photographs by Japanese artist Kosuke Okahara, taken from the series Vanishing Existence. Produced in 2007, this photographic series explores the daily life of leper villages located mainly in southern China.
