Titina Maselli: Urban Visions and Creative Freedom
#Exhibitions
Artwork by Titina Maselli | Courtesy Musei di Villa Torlonia - Casino dei Principi

Titina Maselli was a leading figure on the Roman art scene in the second half of the Twentieth Century. Thanks to an international education that she gained between New York and Paris, the artist was able to anticipate the themes and images of Roman Pop Art, consistently asserting her own independent vision. Through her urban views, the series on skyscrapers and still lifes made with recycled materials, between the late 1940s and 1950s, the artist paved the way for the research conducted by the creative generation of the 1960s. The exhibition is structured along a temporal and aesthetic itinerary that explores the most representative iconographic subjects of Titina Maselli including portraits, sports scenes, trucks, metropolitan landscapes and material still lifes.
