African art goes on stage at the Louvre Abu Dhabi

Kings and Queens of Africa: Forms and Figures of Power is an exhibition that celebrates the rich history and cultural heritage of African royalty. Produced in collaboration with the musée du quai Branly in Paris this exhibition offers a diverse and intriguing exploration of the culture and beliefs intertwined with the lives of African kings and queens, thanks to a collection of approximately 300 objects, from museums around the world. Among the many unique works of art that will be on display is an Ife head from Nigeria (12th-14th century) which comes from the collections of the French museum.
