This year's edition is inspired by the concept of "Awakenings" and expands its attention to that vast cultural area that extends from the Gulf countries to North Africa. The fourth edition of the Louvre Abu Dhabi Art Here is curated by Simon Njami, a renowned independent curator, lecturer, writer and art critic who has organized numerous international exhibitions of contemporary African artists. The geographical expansion of the event is due to the curator's experience in the region and reflects the museum's commitment to showcasing a plurality of artistic voices. The selected artists (national and resident) will have a unique opportunity to exhibit their site-specific monumental works at the Louvre Abu Dhabi. A jury of experts will award - as happens every year in December - the Richard Mille Art Prize, an prize to the work deemed most interesting of this 2024 edition.
