A major exhibition to discover the origins of the three holiest books of the world's three great monotheistic religions. This is the heart of the Letters of Light exhibition that the Louvre Abu Dhabi offers starting from 13 September 2023 until 14 January 2024. An exhibition dedicated to the divine words that underlie the three Abrahamic religions: the Quran, the Christian Bible (Old and New Testament) and the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh). A show that promises to make visitors discover the most important and precious manuscripts of sacred texts of the monotheistic religions and unobtainable findings from the collections of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, the Musée du Louvre and the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Five sections make up the exhibition that recounts the diffusion of sacred scriptures through the centuries through different languages and cultures and which exhibits some precious texts, created by the most skilled artists who mastered the use of rare pigments and illuminated calligraphy and by the most talented bookbinders and artisans in the world.
