Great Jazz Returns to London The 29th edition of the EFG London Jazz Festival offers an electrifying calendar with ten days of performances. The London Jazz Festival 2021, one of the most important and ample music festivals in the world dedicated to jazz, returns live with a calendar that lights up some of the most famous theatres in the British capital with internationally famous stars, special collaborations and a refined selection of new offers from across the Channel. During these ten days in London, jazz icons will take the stage, like Dave Holland and John Scofield, Cleveland Watkiss and Django Bates, stars like Diane Reeves and Alina Bzhezhinska, visionaries like Archie Shepp and Jason Moran, masters of the piano like Italy’s Stefano Bollani and the charismatic sax-player Lakecia Benjamin. As usual, the London Festival offers a mix of jazz, avant-garde sounds, global music and an eclectic selection of other genres which draw inspiration from jazz and improvised music. The event’s epicentre is at the London Southbank Center and in other locations around town, such as the Barbican, Cadogan Hall, King’s Place and the EartH Theatre.
Seventy years of encounters, clashes, journeys and metamorphoses, but, above all, an explosion of creativity - all this at the Tate Britain in the largest exhibition ever dedicated to the artistic ties between the Caribbean and the United Kingdom.
