Paolo Scheggi at the Cardi Gallery

Paolo Scheggi at the Cardi Gallery
#Exhibitions

The artistic research of Paolo Scheggi, from the early 1960s to the start of the 1970s, is represented by a selection of over 25 works. The historic immersive environment Interfiore, presented, for the first time, at the La Tartaruga Gallery in 1968, is rebuilt in its original form with its 95 fluorescent rings of wood and light suspended in the darkness, while 1963 will always be celebrated as a fundamental year for the affirmation at the international level of the artist from Settignano. Organised by the Cardi Gallery in collaboration with the Associazione Paolo Scheggi, the exhibition, entitled Making Spaces, winds about, following two main directives. The itinerary explores the integrated production with architecture conducted by the artist, elaborating the spatial modules at the basis of his best-known works and, at the same time, offers the visitors a panoramic view of the approach of Scheggi to concepts such as interspace, interaction and multimedia. Conceived as a dialogue between Intersuperfici and Inter-ena-cubi, projects for sculptural integration with architecture, the itinerary also gathers letters and project sketches, as well as drawings.
