Set designer Dante Ferretti, famous for his numerous collaborations in major Hollywood productions and winner of various awards, including three Oscars, was called upon to design an authorial set to bring the ancient city of Rome into the contemporary spaces of the museum designed by Zaha Hadid. Through a selection of works and artifacts, rarely visible to the public, from the deposits of three of the most important museum institutions in Rome - Galleria Borghese, La Galleria Nazionale and Musei Capitolini - visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the atmospheres of ancient Rome reinterpreted through the contemporary sensibility of MAXXI for an unusual walk.
