STAINEDGLASS is a spread-out exhibition that occupies the spaces of APSMUSEUM and the shopping centre L+ MALL where the non-profit space is situated. Bringing the artistic intervention of Chinese artist Hu Jieming and Swiss collective AATB beyond the confines of the canonical “white box” exhibition, the double personal exhibition has the aim of exploring news ways to exhibit and enjoy works of art. Video, installations, robotics and photography explore the current state of art in the epoch of automation and the inevitable interaction between man and machine, natural and artificial, analogic and digital. Among the works not to be missed on the first floor, a large automated arm - the work entitled Soap Opera by AATB - which creates soap bubbles in a continuous process as fascinating as it is ephemeral and which aims at the redefinition of the artistic act and its meaning. On the walls of the second floor, meanwhile, the new series of photos created specifically for the event by Hu Jieming, characterised by strong colours and marked geometry, adding pathos to the quotidian.
