Stephen Coogan is an English actor, comedian, screenwriter and producer. At the Noël Coward Theatre in London, he will play the role of Peter Sellers to revive Stanley Kubrick's 1964 masterpiece Dr. Strangelove, a grandiose satire of the Cold War that was a huge international success and is still considered one of the great cinematic masterpieces of the twentieth century. "The idea of staging Dr. Strangelove is daunting," explained Coogan, "and a huge responsibility. It's also an exciting challenge, an opportunity to bring this timeless classic to a new audience." In addition to the seven-time BAFTA winner, this stage adaptation is a major production directed by Armando Iannucci and Olivier Award winner Sean Foley.
