The Design

An entirely new-build property, the Bulgari benefits from having been conceived and designed from inception as a luxury hotel. Noted architect and designer Antonio Citterio was given free rein to create an environment that is faithful both to the design heritage of Bulgari and the status of London as the world’s most exciting, dynamic and international city.  Signature use of silver throughout the property - most notable are the splendid pair of solid silver chandeliers that illuminate the hotel’s ballroom – offers subtle quotations from Bulgari’s beginnings as a Roman silversmith, a theme that is carried throughout the hotel, with such touches as the specially woven silk curtains featuring a pattern inspired by a brooch made by the firm’s founder Sotirio Bulgari during the 19th century.
