In a tiny factory hidden in the village of Jasri, all the secrets of the most widespread and beloved sweet in the whole wide world find refuge. At Sorga Bali Chocolate, precious chocolate beans are grown to produce the sublime biological chocolate Heaven by Chocolate, rigorously dark and of the highest quality, using sustainable agricultural techniques. Besides having an opportunity to observe the harvest of the beans during the Summer season between July and August, specialists in the field illustrate to the most curious visitors the various production phases of this so-called “good-mood” food. From the natural fermentation, a fundamental phase for flavour development, moving on to the drying phase, the grinding, the tempering phase and the moulding phase, then, finally comes the decorating and packaging. The result of this fascinating process is a luscious joy for the senses composed, in varying percentages, of chocolate grains, cocoa butter and cane sugar, occasionally with fruit, salts and spices added. There are twelve varieties of chocolate to enjoy during the gluttonous tasting. Real connoisseurs can’t resist bringing home a bar of Sorga Bali Pure, 100% organically fermented cocoa beans. Meanwhile, lovers of good coffee will find, in a bar of Kopi Bali, the aroma of the famed Balinese coffee. Then there are the heavenly truffles of every sort, the ice creams and the snacks based around cocoa beans that will please the most demanding palates. After a tour of the factory and a cup of hot chocolate, it’s time to free your fantasy and create your own chocolate creation, scenting bars and pralines with flowers, dried fruit, chocolate shavings, ginger, mango or rambutan.
