A new movie titled An Emperor’s Jewel - The Making of the Bvlgari Hotel Roma debuts on Amazon Prime Video on June 7, 2024. Produced by Atomic Production and directed by Andrea Rovetta and starring Bvlgari Global Brand Ambassador Priyanka Chopra Jonas. it takes viewers behind the scenes, drawing a line between Rome’s majestic past and the magnificent contemporary property. Tracing the creation of the Bvlgari Hotel Roma from its inception to opening, it features interviews with the architects and artisans who brought it to life.
Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas oversaw the unveiling of the Bvlgari Hotel Roma, and she muses on the distinctiveness of the property. The Bvlgari Global Brand Ambassador cites the intentionally of the project, noting the way the Roman heritage is woven into the very bones of the Hotel.
To honour the opening of the Hotel, Bvlgari created a magnificent piece of High Jewellery. The necklace is adorned with an original Roman coin featuring the Emperor Augustus. Set in yellow gold, it comprises 149 emerald beads weighing 615.04 carats, and is accented by 80 buff-top emeralds and pavé diamonds.
Architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel restored a 1930s rationalist building to house the Bvlgari Hotel Roma, employing some 300 workers seven days a week for more than three years. Here, the renowned duo discussed their work on bringing the heritage of Rome to life in the most contemporary way.
