Mary Poppins - The Musical arrives in the United Arab Emirates for the first time, bringing to the stage all the magic of the iconic Disney classic in a West End production by Cameron Mackintosh in collaboration with Disney Theatrical Group. The event marks a new milestone for the Gulf’s theatre scene, welcoming one of the most acclaimed and award-winning musicals in history. Inspired by the stories of P. L. Travers and the 1964 Disney film, the show combines the original music and lyrics by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman with new songs by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe and a book by Julian Fellowes. The choreography, noted for its technical precision and narrative rhythm, enhances a visually striking production where special effects and theatrical illusions bring Mary Poppins’s enchanted world to life. The cast features leading artists from the London stage, supported by an ensemble of dancers and a live orchestra. The direction balances lightness and virtuosity, conveying to audiences the imaginative power and musical vitality that have made Mary Poppins an enduring icon of contemporary theatre.
