From 20 to 24 May 2025, the Gardens of the Royal Hospital Chelsea will host the latest edition of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the iconic British gardening event organized by the Royal Horticultural Society. This year’s edition will feature 35 show gardens designed by leading figures in the field, including Monty Don, Tom Massey, Jo Thompson, Manoj Malde, and Kazuyuki Ishihara. Among the most anticipated highlights is Monty Don’s debut as a designer, with a dog-friendly garden created in collaboration with Jamie Butterworth. After the show, the garden will be relocated to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Innovation also takes center stage in the Avanade ‘Intelligent’ Garden, designed by Tom Massey and Je Ahn, which uses artificial intelligence to monitor environmental conditions. Visitors will be able to interact with a digital version of the garden via QR codes, offering an educational and immersive experience focused on sustainability. For the first time, the Chelsea Pensioners will present their own garden, created with designer Dave Green. It celebrates their 330-year history, featuring a communal bench made from recycled uniforms and an accessible woodland area. The show will also include a debut collection of outdoor furniture by Gaze Burvill, crafted from National Trust oak, underlining a commitment to local materials and environmental responsibility.
