There is a suspended moment, before words, when the world seems to exist in a more fluid and undefined form. It is within this space that the research of Li Li Ren unfolds - the Chinese artist based in London who, in recent years, has gradually distanced herself from language to explore more instinctive and sensory territories. Her sculptures and installations evoke ambiguous universes, poised between the biological and the imagined. Forms that recall living organisms, surfaces that defy expectations - such as glass appearing as soft as jelly - construct environments in which matter seems to be in constant transformation. Within these works, the boundary between human and non-human dissolves, opening up a subtle reflection on existence and its many possibilities. At the core of her practice lies an investigation into memory: fragments that are lost, transformed, and recomposed into new visual narratives. By relinquishing the ordered structure of language, Li Li Ren invites us to perceive the world through rhythms, relationships, and presences, offering a contemplative and deeply immersive experience.
