Sergio Strizzi, the eye of Italian cinema
#Exhibitions

Sergio Strizzi (1931 - 2004) is considered one of the greatest still photographers of Italian cinema who documented over a hundred films during his long career. Strizzi has worked with the best Italian directors, including Vittorio De Sica, Michelangelo Antonioni, Alessandro Blasetti, Alberto Lattuada, Mario Monicelli, Elio Petri and Francesco Rosi as well as with internationally renowned figures such as John Huston and Peter Greenaway. No less important is his contribution to the construction of the myth of the legendary character created by Ian Fleming in 1953: James Bond. Thanks to his growing fame, he was a set photographer for some of the most important blockbusters in the 007 saga and in the mid-seventies, when Life magazine published an article on Audrey Hepburn's return to cinema, the famous British actress personally imposed Strizzi to carry out the photo shootings. This exhibition, which includes over 70 color and black and white images, chronicles Strizzi's career and provides insights into a fascinating period in the history of Italian and international cinema.
