A leading figure in the Chinese cultural scene, Feng Tang is a writer, poet, and artist with a background in medicine and a career as a business executive. Author of the acclaimed Beijing Trilogy, he is known for his direct and lyrical style, which has established him as a key voice in contemporary Chinese literature. At the Today Art Museum, he presents an exhibition featuring 166 works of calligraphy and painting in dialogue with 100 personal objects belonging to his mother. Designed as an immersive journey, the exhibition narrates the various stages of a woman’s life through the memory and nostalgia of an adult son. Walking through the exhibition feels like stepping into a three-dimensional world of poetry and calligraphy, where profound reflections on family ties, personal identity, and social connections emerge.
