Canell and Wada's "transformative" sculpture

Canell and Wada's "transformative" sculpture
#Art

Space and time. These are the two elements that unite two artists with distinctive artistic languages and which are brought together in the 42 Days exhibition focused on the recent sculptural work presented in two overlapping spatial configurations by Nina Canell and Reijiro Wada. Canell and Wada start from an expanded conception of sculpture and in their works identify loopholes and biological, chemical, energetic, but also philosophical connections to express themselves. Sculptures whose material is dynamic and transforming. Works that contrast with an exclusively mechanical and passive vision of reality. Time, understood as duration, is an active component of the exhibition. The actions, human and non-human, attract lasting and energetic forces that unfold in space, helping to give shape to the two artists' vision of the world.
