Ari Purpa, founder of the eponymous art gallery in Seminyak, is bold in her choices that come from her sincere intuitions. She prefers to exhibit works made with mixed techniques, fun portraits, works where surprising colors emerge, drawings that release naivety, like those of children. The gallery spaces have also exhibited legendary artists such as Walter Spies, Antonio Blanco, I Gusti Nyoman Lempad, Miguel Covarrubias, Krijono, Bramasto and many others. Today Ari Purpa supports 15 emerging or mid-career artists and offers a selection of 100 paintings. While she is busy exhibiting Indonesian artists, Ari also has a special place in her collection for foreign artists who have resided in Bali or who have somehow caught her attention.
