In Sunrise at the Vortex, Nima Nabavi invites the public to immerse themselves in a dense and hypnotic visual universe, where layered lines and geometric shapes construct a contemplative experience. The works, both in the large hand-drawn drawings and in those traced with an architectural pen-plotter, create a vortex of mathematical precision and silent spirituality. In this space, art becomes a way to meditate on the relationship between oneself, the world and the transcendent. The works on display were born in different places, from Roswell to Brooklyn, from Los Angeles to Dubai, chosen by the artist for their energetic charge. Each drawing is the result of a long sedimentation: Nabavi works starting from a mental space of extreme calm, allowing geometry to become a silent language capable of transmitting energy, memory, concentration. At the basis of this research there is also a personal memory: the artist's grandfather, a self-taught geometry artist, who in his last years was no longer able to translate the complexity of his visions onto paper. From here comes the use of technology as an extension of the gesture, not as a replacement. The pen-plotter allows Nabavi to go beyond physical limits and continue a legacy, keeping intact the formal density of his drawing.
