Bvlgari Hotel Beijing launched L'Estate Italiana seasonal culinary programme. The banks of the Liangma River were transformed into Italy, as guests were treated to offerings from The Pizza Bar - Pier Daniele Seu and handcrafted gelato from three-MICHELIN-starred Chef Niko Romito. Accompanied by live music, the celebration marked the start of the season, which channels the easy elegance of an Italian summer through the iconic pleasures of pizza, gelato, and endless days lit with the sparkle of simple pleasures.

An authentic reimagination of one of Italy’s most-loved creations, the Pizza Bar - Pier Daniele Seu is the result of a collaboration between Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts and the award-winning Roman Chef. Crafted with the finest Italian ingredients, and a dough that matures over some 30 hours to ensure maximum lightness, each pizza evokes the Italian art of living, coming to life in eight distinctive offerings that range from traditional to contemporary.

Chef Pier Daniele Seu

A self-taught chef from Rome, Pier Daniele is known for his contemporary approach to one of Rome's most iconic traditions. What differentiates Seu's offerings is a meticulous attention to craft, illustrated in the light and airy dough and the exclusive use of top-quality ingredients from Italy. He is considered one of the key figures in the latest wave of pizza innovation. Each pizza is designed to be an individual masterpiece that is best experienced when shared with others. Conversation and conviviality are at the centre of the Pizza Bar experience. Chef Pier Daniele has been named "Pizza Chef of the Year" by 50 Top Pizza at the end of 2019, and his Seu Pizza Illuminati restaurant in Rome is celebrated as the 3rd best pizzeria in Italy and 5th in the world by 50 Top Pizza. Having worked with Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts since 2020, the Pizza Bar represents an exciting step forward and gives the chef even more opportunity to align his award-winning craft with the world of Bvlgari.
