Visitors to Il Giardino may notice a new addition to its grounds: a stone sculpture from the artist Monia Ben Hamouda. Called Ya’aburn, which means “you bury me,” it is inscribed with an unknown language and evokes the relationship between love, death, and continuity. The installation at the Bvlgari Hotel is part of a greater programme of support from Fondazione Bvlgari: presented as a Collateral Event of the 61st International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, the project sponsors two artists, Monia Ben Hamouda and Lara Favaretto, in their creation of new installations that are on display in the Sale Monumentali of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana. In addition to the Venice exhibitions, Fondazione Bvlgari is honoured to be featuring Ben Hamouda's sculpture on the grounds of Il Giardino, thereby reaffirming its cultural vocation to preserve heritage and support emerging artists, while also enhancing accessibility and public enjoyment.
