The passage of time with Darren Almond

The passage of time with Darren Almond
#Art

Darren James Almond is an English artist, who has exhibited in many museums and international institutions - from the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Tate Britain in London, to the Kunsthalle Zürich and the K21 in Düsseldorf and at The Renaissance Society in Chicago - and participated with his works at the Berlinale, the Busan Biennale in South Korea and the Venice Biennale. In 2005 he was among the artists nominated for the prestigious Turner Prize. His next exhibition, at the White Cube Mason's Yard gallery in London, presents a series of new paintings in which the artist evocatively addresses the theme of time and its duration. A research that has to do with personal and historical memory and which is expressed through works that embrace a variety of expressive means including painting, film, sculpture, photography and installations.
