From 23 to 25 October 2026, Art Basel Paris returns to the Grand Palais for its fifth edition, the first under the direction of Karim Crippa. The fair will bring together more than 200 exhibitors from 41 countries and territories, including nearly 30 galleries participating for the first time and more than 60 with a presence in France. After returning to the historic building on the Champs-Élysées in 2024, the Grand Palais remains the centre of the Paris event dedicated to the modern and contemporary art market. Art Basel Paris was launched in 2022, when Art Basel took over from FIAC in organising the French capital’s traditional Autumn art fair, initially under the name Paris+ par Art Basel. In 2024, it adopted its current name and became fully integrated into Art Basel’s international network, alongside Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong. The 2026 edition retains its three-sector structure. Galeries forms the main section, bringing together established modern and contemporary art galleries, Emergence focuses on younger galleries and emerging artists, while Premise presents curated projects that may also include works created before 1900. Collaborations between exhibitors are also increasing, with twelve booths shared by multiple galleries. The fair extends beyond the Grand Palais through its Public Program, developed with institutions and venues across the city. Oh La La! also returns on 23 and 24 October, with participating galleries temporarily changing the works presented in their booths. Four years after its launch, Art Basel Paris has established a firm place on the international calendar. A strong French gallery presence sits alongside exhibitors from more than forty countries, while the programme across the city strengthens the connection between the fair and the Paris art scene.
