The vivid and lyrical world of Anne Morris

The vivid and lyrical world of Anne Morris
#Exhibitions

It is the third exhibition dedicated to a female artist at the Fosun Foundation, after the solo exhibitions of Yayoi Kusama and Cindy Sherman, and it is also Anne Morris's first solo exhibition in Asia. A varied array of sculptures, tapestries and paintings lead the audience into Morris's vivid and lyrical artistic world. On display are her most iconic works from her Stacks series, including a 5.3 meter tall colorful sculpture, which is also the artist's tallest work to date. There is also a site-specific mural that spans the entire exhibition hall with paintings and fabric works, creating a dynamic dialogue between the concept of the ephemeral and the afterlife. The British artist works in a variety of mediums, weaving reflections on her personal experience with explorations of line, surface and volume to create intense, yet airy colors and feminine forms.
