Pipilotti Rist’s visual universe - one of the most original voices in the international contemporary art scene - expands once again, transforming architectural space into a sensitive, immersive, and multisensory organism. Born in Grabs in 1962, Rist studied illustration, photography, and audiovisual communication in Vienna and Basel. Since the 1980s, she has developed a radical artistic practice that redefines the language of moving images and the relationship between body, nature, and perception. In this new exhibition, the Swiss artist presents a series of newly commissioned video installations that delve into themes of ecofeminism and the interconnectedness of individuals, environments, and vital flows. Through fluid imagery, pulsating colors, and enveloping sounds, Rist invites viewers to shift between intimate dimensions and cosmic visions, in a journey that explores cycles of transformation: nourishment, digestion, growth, and dissolution. The spectator’s experience becomes immersive, playful, and deeply resonant - suspended between Taoist philosophy and ecological awareness. A perceptual voyage where the body becomes both filter and measure of the world, and visual matter transforms into an emotional and political language.
