From May 20th, Tate Britain pays homage to the great British philanthropist Kenneth Clark. The exhibition focuses on the mark that Clark left on art history in UK, contributing to bring art in the 20th century to a more popular audience. The show highlights Clark’s activities during 30s and 40s when, using his own wealth, he helped various artists. Among the artists that he patronage there are the painters of the Euston Road School, and leading artists such as Henry Moore, John Piper and Graham Sutherland.
The exhibition will be on display until August 10th at Tate Britain, just a few minute taxi ride from the Bulgari Hotel London.
