In an era marked by ecological crises and technological acceleration, art seeks to act as a compass to redefine the relationship between humanity and nature. This is the horizon of the new exhibition which, inspired by Michel Serres’ concept of the “Natural Contract” and Zhuangzi’s Taoist vision of the “Unity of Heaven and Humanity,” weaves together philosophy and contemporary artistic languages. Seven internationally recognized artists - Lynn Hershman Leeson, Liang Shaoji, Melati Suryodarmo, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Robert Zhao Renhui, Cao Shu, and Yin Yunya - present eighteen works spanning installation, bio-media, video, and artificial intelligence. Each piece becomes a thread intertwined with the others, creating a fabric in which nature, technology, and human perception mirror and contradict one another. The exhibition does not simply depict nature, but stages its complexity: both matter and concept, otherness and reflection, memory and future. Within this weave, the viewer is invited to question the meaning of coexistence with the world around us, between what we can control and what remains irreducibly mysterious.
