Green School Bali is a unique and innovative school located in the jungle near Ubud. Founded in 2008 by John and Cynthia Hardy, who wanted to offer their daughter an integrated education, the school is committed to providing a sustainable education, promoting environmental awareness and creativity. The same structure confirms the vision of a holistic educational approach, which integrates sustainability, experiential learning and connection with nature. The main building of the school is in fact built mainly in bamboo, an ecological and renewable material, for a space without walls and without limits to creativity. The Green School opened in September 2008 with 90 students (today it has around 500). A bespoke campus is reached by a bridge spanning 22 meters over the Ayung River. Equipped with solar panels and a hydroelectric plant, Green School Bali has become an example internationally with other offices in New Zealand, South Africa, Tulum. To continue making the project known, tours are organized inside the school to explore the learning spaces, student projects and listen to the history and philosophy of "green" teaching.
