Farah Al Qasimi, the ideology of images

Farah Al Qasimi, the ideology of images
#Art

Farah Al Qasimi is a photographer from the United Arab Emirates, who has lived in Brooklyn, New York for years. She is known internationally for her photographs of life in the Persian Gulf and her works are part of major international collections from the Guggenheim and MoMA in New York to the Tate Modern in London, from the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago to Art Jameel in Dubai. This new exhibition talks about war, violence, human beings and presents reality through the mirror of "game", a metaphor where her photographs become the means to interpret the sensitivity of the contemporary and at the same time give space and form to an unreal theater fully immersed in the post-truth era, where the boundary between the true and the false, between narration and reality is increasingly labile and thin.
