For decades, San Siro has been a temple of football and grand pop rituals. In the Summer of 2026, however, its soundscape will change: for the first time, heavy metal will take over the Meazza Stadium with Iron Maiden, headlining a date destined to enter the history of Italian live music. On 17 June, as part of the Run for Your Lives World Tour, the British band will bring to Milan a show celebrating fifty years of career and an already legendary repertoire. The setlist will trace the first twelve years of their discography, from the debut Iron Maiden to Fear of the Dark, in a journey designed for long-time fans while remaining accessible to new generations. Milan is no stranger to the Maiden, who have built a long-standing and continuous relationship with the city over the years. San Siro, however, marks a symbolic leap - not only because of its scale, but for what it represents. It signals how metal, once born on the margins, has claimed a central place in global live culture. After a European tour that has already posted impressive numbers and drawn more than one million spectators, the Milan stop stands out as one of the defining moments of 2026 - a clear sign that, after half a century, Iron Maiden continue to push into new territory.
