From October 1 to 12, 2025, the Qizhong Forest Sports City Tennis Center will host a new edition of the Shanghai ATP Masters 1000, one of the most prestigious events on the circuit and the only Masters 1000 tournament held in Asia. The tournament will be played on hard courts and will feature the participation of the world’s top tennis players. With a 96-player draw and a prize purse of approximately 9.2 million dollars, Shanghai represents a key stop on the road to the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin. The winner will earn 1.000 ATP ranking points, making this event crucial in the final phase of the season. Among the most anticipated players are Jannik Sinner, the defending champion and current world number one, alongside Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, and Andrey Rublev. The presence of these champions promises an extremely high level of competition and spectacular matches. The tournament will take place at the historic Qizhong Forest Sports City Tennis Center, located in the Minhang District. The venue, the largest tennis facility in Asia, can accommodate up to 14.000 spectators and features a retractable roof shaped like a magnolia, offering a unique experience for both players and fans.
