This exhibition is the sixth stage of the dialogue initiated in 2021 by the Apostolic Library between its heritage and contemporary art, declining the theme "Pilgrims of Hope" in the cultured and secular key that is its own, weaving a reflection on the theme of travel. The fulcrum of the exhibition is the recent discovery of a collection that comes from the legacy of the diplomat and scholar Cesare Poma. This is the Poma.Periodici Collection, a substantial collection of around 1.200 newspapers, coming from the most remote locations and printed in the most unexpected languages of the five continents. Even in the Hebrew of the Turkish diaspora. From this collection emerges, in addition to the biographical and cultural story of the diplomat, also that of a bizarre periodical, entitled En route, which two French journalists, Lucien Leroy and Henri Papillaud, published during their trip around the world between 1895 and 1897, to finance their enterprise and recount the places visited.
