An ecosystem of bodies, sounds, and data that dissolves the boundaries of the traditional stage: this is Kōreosfera, the new site-specific performance by Ariella Vidach AiEP. Far from the idea of the stage as a closed space, the project unfolds as an immersive, permeable “performative biosphere,” where dance and technology intertwine in a continuous flow of sensory stimuli. Here, both spectators and environment become integral to the choreography, transforming the experience into a shared laboratory where reality and virtuality converge. Founded by choreographer and dancer Ariella Vidach together with video artist Claudio Prati, AiEP has made experimentation with digital languages its distinctive mark, earning the Special Dance Award at the Swiss Dance Awards in 2017. With Kōreosfera, the collective furthers its exploration of bodily perception in virtual space, opening new horizons for contemporary performance. The event is part of Esplorazioni. A journey through dance, music, and words, a program hosted at Volvo Studio Milan.
