With A Passion for Drawing: From Leonardo da Vinci to Keith Haring, Castello Sforzesco opens the doors to one of its best-kept treasures, the Gabinetto dei Disegni (Cabinet of Drawings), home to more than 30.000 works spanning five centuries of artistic creativity. The exhibition brings together over sixty drawings by some of the greatest names in art history, from Leonardo da Vinci and Giovanni Battista Tiepolo to Umberto Boccioni and Keith Haring, revealing how drawing has served as a sketch, a project, a visual note, or a finished work of art in its own right. It offers a rare glimpse into the most intimate stage of artistic creation, when an idea first takes shape. The exhibition also tells the story of a remarkable collection built over more than a century through donations and acquisitions that established Milan as one of Italy's leading centres for works on paper. Adding a contemporary touch, the exhibition's visual identity has been designed by students from the Civica Scuola Arte & Messaggio, creating a dialogue between the great masters of the past and the creative talents of tomorrow.
