#Mostre

Vikram Divecha is an artist who works on the theme of cities, their planning, construction, maintenance, demolition. He is interested in the otherwise invisible structures that shape metropolises around the world and in particular in the United Arab Emirates, the country where he lives. Working with the materials, space and labor available to him, Divecha's projects manifest as site-specific works, public art, installations, videos, photographs and drawings. Short Circuits is his first anthological exhibition at the Jameel Arts Center for this artist born in Beirut, raised in India in Mumbai and now based in Dubai. His playful and poetic works focus on what he calls “found processes” into which the artist inserts himself, observing how individuals navigate, experiment with and circumvent urban systems.
