June 1st promises to be a night of magic and mystery. The superstar of qawwali music - a form of Sufi devotional music - Rahat Fateh Ali Khan arrives at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Rahat is the grandson of the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, a musician who made the history of qawwali music and who transported millions of spectators into his dream atmospheres by writing the soundtracks of films such as The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), Natural Born Killers (1994), Dead Man Walking (1995) and collaborating extensively with Peter Gabriel. Rahat is the worthy heir and is today considered one of the most important exponents not only of qawwali but of world music. There is great anticipation in the United Arab Emirates for this concert which holds a surprise. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will also be joined on stage by another star of the world music scene who did not want to reveal his name and who promises to give life to a unique and unrepeatable concert.
