Bulgari Hotel London’s Italian Afternoon Tea brings a taste of continental cool to the City, for a new twist on the classic British tea. Served in The Bulgari Lounge, it puts the focus on Italian ingredients and includes such sweet and savoury delicacies as Roman style artichokes, Burrata, Umbrian truffle, Chilli pepper bread and contemporary Italian pastries designed by pastry Chef Gianluca Fusto.
Encompassing everything sweet on the menu, the ‘Dolci’ created for The Bulgari Lounge by pastry chef and chocolatier Gianluca Fusto include cakes ‘Torte’, Mono Porzioni for one, desserts and Il Cioccolato, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts signature handcrafted chocolate gems. With a focus on three-ingredient creations, Fusto layers flavours in a way that is bold and unexpected, innovative and masterful.
Nutty, savoury peanuts are the star of the creation, featuring layers of peanut sponge and peanut cream. Dulce de leche adds sweetness while a vanilla bean namelaka enriches the sweet with subtle depth of character, layering beautifully with the peanut.
Bold and bright, Lucente is inspired by the blinding Mediterranean sun in a crunchy and moussy pastry filled with Mandarin cream and infused with Amaretto for a full almond flavour to reminisce the carefree Italian summer days.
Made with Tahitian Vanilla, Madagascar Vanilla, Pecan Pralines and White Chocolate, Orchid, the mono porzione dessert by Gianluca Fusto, it's a tempting taste of spring sweetness — and the perfect way to brighten up a late winter afternoon.
Inspired by Mexico, this rich dessert is made with intense Tulakalum chocolate, Ispica Sesame from Sicily and caramel. A collision of flavours and cultures with unique provenance.
