Organized in collaboration with Magnum Photos, the exhibition offers a comprehensive retrospective of the artist's career, spanning over 50 years and showcasing around 400 works divided into 11 significant series. Among the featured series are The Non-Conformists, documenting traditional communities in northern England in the 1970s, Bad Weather, portraying the resilience of the British people in extreme weather conditions, and The Last Resort, depicting lively and chaotic scenes at British seaside resorts in the 1980s. Other series include Small World, a critique of the globalization of tourism, Common Sense, a satirical take on consumer society, The Institutions, an analysis of power structures, and Life’s a Beach, which humorously explores global beach culture. A special section is dedicated to photographs taken by Parr in China, offering a glimpse into the country’s social transformation and cultural dynamics.
