The Bourse de Commerce presents the exhibition Body and Soul, an exploration of the representation of the body in contemporary art through a hundred works from the Pinault Collection. Forty artists, from Rodin to Duane Hanson, from Ana Mendieta to Arthur Jafa, investigate the connection between body and mind through painting, sculpture, photography, video and drawing. In the circular architecture of the Bourse de Commerce, the exhibition highlights the body as the center of contemporary thought. Freed from mimetic constraints, it reinvents itself, giving art an organicity that amplifies its expressive power. The works do not simply represent forms, but capture energies, making the invisible visible and illuminating the shadows of consciousness. In the Rotunda, Arthur Jafa's installation, Love is the Message, the Message is Death, transforms the space into a sounding board for the commitment and legacy of African-American icons, from Martin Luther King Jr. to Beyoncé, giving them a universal dimension.
