The appointment with MITO SettembreMusica returns and this year inaugurates in Milan with a great concert by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala conducted by Riccardo Chailly. The evening's program focuses on two fundamental figures of post-World War II music: Luciano Berio, one of the most important Italian composers of the European avant-garde, pioneer in the field of electronic music, and Wolfgang Rihm, founder of the so-called neo-romantic current.
Alongside the four miniatures by Berio and the large orchestral fresco by Rihm, an early twentieth century classic such as Maurice Ravel with the two orchestral suites from the ballet Daphnis et Chloé.
