Like a gateway flung open through time, the exhibition brings ancient Egypt back to life in all its symbolic intensity. It is a journey across three thousand years of history, reconstructed through 130 masterpieces from major Egyptian museums: monumental statues, royal jewels, painted sarcophagi and everyday objects that still hold the breath of one of the most complex civilizations of the ancient world. Structured in six sections, the exhibition guides visitors through the great themes of the pharaonic universe: the divine power of the rulers, the rituals of life and death, the cosmology that intertwined gods and humans, and the most recent archaeological discoveries that continue to reshape what we know about ancient Egypt. Among the highlights are the statues of Sennefer, Ramses VI and Thutmose III - works that embody a rare union of spiritual force and technical refinement. The project stems from a significant international collaboration that has enabled exceptional loans, many shown in Italy for the first time. This cultural dialogue offers the public not only the aesthetic magnificence of the past but also the vitality of an archaeological inquiry still evolving. Treasures that, even today, continue to challenge the present with their enigmatic beauty.
